Their boss Russell Penn has told their website: “Chambo has been a great servant for the club over the past two seasons – I’ve only got good things to say about him.

“However, having weighed up all the factors, I feel it suits all parties for him to have a fresh start, and for us to move in another direction. He’s a model professional and everyone at the club wishes him nothing but the best for the future.”

Chambers is an experienced forward who has racked up over 350 appearances so far in his career and will have to weigh up his options this summer.

He started out as a youngster at Leicester City before moving to York City in 2011. He bagged 23 goals in 143 games for the Minstermen, helping them win promotion to League Two in his first season at the club.

Spells in the fourth tier at Dagenham and Redbridge and Grimsby Town followed for Chambers before he dropped into non-league to join Nuneaton Town three years ago.

He was prolific for Nuneaton and scored 33 goals in 61 games for the fifth tier side before joining Kidderminster in 2018. He carried that type of form with the the Harriers which could attract suitors over the coming months.
